The Unreal3 powered next-gen title, part of Team17's quality, independent digital line-up is a drop-dead gorgeous "retro-modern" remake of the game that helped Team17 burst onto the Amiga scene 18years ago. There's no word on which platforms ABE will hit, or when it will release. Today the UK-based developer of digitally downloadable games announced that Alien Breed Evolution - a new addition to the franchise - will return in the near future. But nearly 20 years ago Team 17 released Alien Breed for the Commodore Amiga, which quickly garnered critical acclaim. Team 17 is best known these days for its excellent Worms series, most recently releasing Worms 2 Armageddon for the Xbox 360.
